Mitchell Thomas Duke was born on January 18, 1991, in Liverpool, Australia to his parents, Bill Duke and Arlene Duke.
He went to All Saints Catholic College, Liverpool, and All Saints Catholic Senior College Casula, for his education.
Career
Mitchell Duke began his football career at the youth level with Parramatta Eagles and later moved to the youth team of the Central Coast Mariners.
He made his senior debut for the Mariners on February 9, 2011, and signed a two-year contract with them on January 24, 2012.
He had a two-week trial with the English club Westham United before moving to the Japanese club Shimizu S-Pulse on February 9, 2015.
He left Shimizu in December 2018 after 4 seasons with the club and signed with Western Sydney Wanderers FC on January 15, 2019He signed a two-year contract with Al-Taawoun on August 22, 2020, before he moved back to his former club Western Sydney Wanderers FC on loan for the remainder of the 2020-21 A-League season. He signed for Fagiano Okayama on August 5, 2021.
He made his international debut in a match against South Korea and scored his first goal in a 3-2 loss against Japan.
He was part of the Australian team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Tunisia at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
